I am almost finished with "All Out" but now I don't know what to pick up next. Help!
The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
Railhead by Philip Reeve
Vicious by V.E. Schwab
The Belles! It reminded me of The Red Queen by Victoria Appleyard because it had all the danger and deceipt around royalty but it was better in my opinion and I haven't seen it in nearly so many places. I liked the way it made me think about how important (or not important) beauty really is. It deserves way more readers! Go for it! Though the VE Schwab books are good too. (I haven't read Railhead)
The Red Queen was awesome! Maybe I should read The Belles too! :-)
Did you like All Out? Is it short stories? The themes sound interesting but I haven't read short stories before and I'm not sure how I'd get on with them.
I’m reading the sequel to a darker shade of magic right now. I definitely enjoyed it, it’s a fast paced book and has amazing world building- all the different cultures are so developed and distinct.
@Jenna I am really enjoying it so far! It is compilled of twelve short stories, which was initally hard to read through, but I'm definetly getting the hang of it now. When I first started it I had to take breaks inbetween every few stories since I wasn't use to reading so many different plots, characters, etc in such a short amount of time.
@Hailey That's good to know that you got into it and taking breaks is a good idea. I just haven't really read short stories before but I'd like to try something different. Thanks
I loved short stories for a long time- I always looked for the yearly best short fiction and I remember a lot of the stories clearly. I have kinda stopped reading them these last few years. I should probably go back and give them a try. All of your choices are on my TBR too lol.
I've recently read Home by Amanda Berriman, highly recommened.
