Good grief, I've got to give my year 3 stars, even though I read 124 (counted) books. There were a few that didn't make bookaxe for some reason or another. Only a few books stood out this year:

    Little Fires Everywhere
    Strange the Dreamer
    The Gone World
    Moxie
    Where'd You Go, Bernadette?
    The Time Traveler's Wife
    Foundryside
    The Demon King
    ...
    ...
And that's it. Not a lot of hits on this parade. Hopefully, next year will yield better results.

    See you on the flipside!

My favourite reads for the year (in no order) have been:

    Putney / Sofka Zinovieff

The Doll's Alphabet / Camilla Grudova

    Monsieur / Jean-Philippe Toussaint

The Truth about Marie / Jean-Philippe Toussaint

The Vorrh trology / Brian Catling

    Flights / Olga Tokarczuk

Thérèse and Isabelle / Violette Leduc

Sometimes A River Song / Avril Joy

Madame Verona Comes Down The Hill / Dimitri Verhulst

Such Small Hands / Andrés Barba

The only awful book I read this year was Crudo by Olivia Laing.

A good reading year for me :-)

    Happy new year everyone!
