Hey everyone!
From Tuesday 22nd January, I'm going to be reading Stuart Turton's Costa Book Prize Best First Novel Category winner, THE SEVEN DEATHS OF EVELYN HARDCASTLE, and posting my thoughts here daily, with a view to finishing on the 29th January, in time to see whether it wins the overall Costa Prize!
I'd love for you to join me and read too. If you've already read it, please do also share you thoughts (although please be careful of dropping spoilers as we go!)
You can hear me discuss the buddy read in the Week in Books, here: https://youtu.be/-UJ9XDBr0BE
This novel was also the Best Rated book by readers on Bookaxe in 2018, so we're intrigued to see whether the Costa judges agree. You can see us chatting about all the best (and worst!) books on Bookaxe in 2018, here: https://youtu.be/-UJ9XDBr0BE
Really hope you'll join me! Looking forward to chatting.
Lucy :)
I read this over Christmas and loved it :)) Will join in your chat!
I'm on a cruise (https://youtu.be/avaSdC0QOUM) so I don't know what to expect for wifi, but I'll be with you in spirit
Also, tell Scott to get off his tail and implement hypertext commenting!
Mark, that link!!! HAHAHA! Have fun on your cruise! Look forward to you dropping in and chatting when you can. I will pass the message on to Scott...
I've been wanting to read this for such a long time, and finally a good push for me to pick it up!
Sidenote: Does anyone else get confused between The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo?
ME! Also, throw in that the US edition of Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is called the SEVEN AND A HALF DEATHS (why!?) and I'm pretty much done tbh!
Really glad you'll be joining us, Eleanor :)
Starting this tonight I know it's a day early but I just finished my previous book. Really looking forward to this as I love murder mysteries
You go for it Brian! I might have a sneaky read tonight too. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. See you tomorrow! :)
I thought that the begining was a bit confusing but hang in there it all becomes clear soon!
