THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!!

Victoria

Similar to ACOMAF by Sarah J. Maas this story tells the tale of a badass female heroin as she tries to find her true identity whilst also being one of the most valued assassins of her time whilst also balancing her love life. This book doesn’t just include beautiful and strong men and women but it mentions chocolate cake and a dog, what more could you want? But seriously this book was one of the very few that got me into reading and if your looking for a cheer me up or just an inspiring story this is the one to choose.

2nd time reading. It's always fun to return to the beginning of a beloved series and see how much it has grown. This time around I can definitely see how much stronger Sarah J. Mass has become over time. The characters are a bit flat at times, but still fun to read about. I also identified several plot points and ideas that were introduced in this book that still haven't been brought back in (keeping in mind I haven't yet read Tower of Dawn).

A fun fantasy story, but definitely not the best in the series.
