Synopsis:

A perennial classic from Stephen King - timeless and topical. The house looked right, felt right to Dr Louis Creed. Rambling, old, unsmart and comfortable. A place where the family could settle; the children grow and play and explore. The rolling hills and meadows of Maine seemed a world away from the fume-choked dangers of Chicago. Only the occasional big truck out on the two-lane highway, grinding up through the gears, hammering down the long gradients, growled out an intrusive threat. But beh...

Kristina

Pet Sematary was my first Stephen King book and it was also the book that got me back to reading again. When I was in my early teens I used to read a lot but then I suddenly stopped during high school. After high school I picked this book up(that was by the way sitting on my self for years collecting dust ) and it rekindled my love for reading and also made me a huge fan of Stephen King's writing. And for this it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Emotional attachment aside, this book is really great. It is dark and twisted and perfect for any horror fan.It might be a little slow in the beginning, but that's only because it's developing its characters and building up atmosphere.King managed to make me really attached to the book's cast. The characters feel real! You spend so much time reading and learning about them that when the inevitable happens it hurts so much more. For me it's always great when horror stories make their characters likeable and relatable so when the horrible things start happening to them it has a bigger impact on the reader.Another thing I like about Pet Sematary is the way it explores themes like human mortality and grief. It reminds us of the harsh reality of death and how we can't escape it.I also love how it portrays different ways humans can experience grief.

Overall it is an amazing book,I didn't expect to love it so much.
