It was nice to be pulled back into the Harry Potter world. I liked getting to know some of the new generation of wizards and meeting old ones I did not think would be in the story for obvious reasons (you'll know what I mean when you read it). I am glad I went into the book completely blind!

I am not used to reading plays, so the format was strange, but I got over that quickly and enjoyed the story. But I will admit that after the nostalgia wore off, I can tell you that this read like a fanfiction. That being said, I wish this was the start of another series, one that JK. Rowling writes herself and fleshes everything out, fills plot holes and goes deeper into character development.

2.5/5 stars.
