Didn't know quite what to make of this one if I'm honest. It was well-written and the descriptions of the frozen north and New Venice and its hedonistic, corrupt and failing society was very well imagined, but it all just seemed a bit flat and I struggled to engage with it really. There are enough good ideas and characters in it though that I'll try the follow-up.
