This book manages an amazing combination of a very fast-paced plot with high stakes (especially the first part) and very, very good characters, well-rounded and quite deep (especially someone that l can't say who because spoilers, but l love him). The writing was straight to the point in a way that sucked me into the story - nothing remarkable, but it did its job really well. Plus, I enojyed the romance. That doesn't happen often. So yeah!
